Happy Valentine’s Day to my blogging world! I hope you all had a lovely day. I had a great day. I had a busy morning out and about, came home, made lunch, did a Valentine craft with my boys, got things ready for my evening with hubs while the babies napped, dropped the boys off at a babysitting fundraiser at our church, met my husband back home for a two hour date in our baby-free house with candles, a fireplace and dinner from Cheesecake Factory, picked up the babies, put them to bed and now I am writing this post.
My friends,
this is how I know I am a mom. It’s 9:30 on Valentine’s Day and I have already
accomplished all of the above and am getting ready for bed! Haha! My days begin early when I’m the mom of
twins!
Tonight, I
want to share the Valentine craft I did with my little guys this afternoon. This project was really easy.
I picked up
my supplies from Hobby Lobby while I was out this morning (chalk board, wooden shapes,
white paint marker, red paint) and spent around $10 for my supplies.
When I got
home, I made lunch and had this craft completely finished in less than thirty
minutes. I started by writing the
phrase, “Double the kisses, Double the hugs, when your blessed…” with a paint
marker.
I then
painted my babies hands and feet and made prints on the chalk board. I painted Aaron’s left hand/foot and Ethan’s
right hand/foot.
Once that dried,
I filled in the rest of the phrase the paint marker and added some hearts.
Lastly I
hot glued on some inexpensive wooden shapes.
I personalized the owls by drawing a heart with my babies’ intial in the
heart, and I wrote the year on the heart.
This
project was fun and inexpensive. I was hoping the prints would have turned out a little cleaner, but considering the fact that I have very squirmy little ones, I was pleased with the results. 'As long as you can still tell it is a "W" and a "V", then I'm satisfied with the finished project. I plan
on displaying this somewhere in the babies’ room.
